Who we serve:
  • Malaria remains a major public health issue in Zambia, despite massive investments in
    intervention measures that have been implemented and our reference lab is set up to support
    malaria surveillance work with a focus on Entomology in Zambia and the southern Africa region.
Laboratory Services Being Provided:
  •  Processing of mosquito samples for species identification using both Morphological and
    Molecular techniques(Polymerase chain reaction)
  • porozoite detection by Circum-Sporozoite Protein using Enzyme Linked Immuno-Sorbent
    Assay techniques
  • Malaria parasite quantification and identification using microscopy
  • Special services such Semi-field and Insectary are also available
The above mentioned services are rendered at a minimal cost.
