Administrative Director

Biography

The son of missionary parents, Mr Book was born and raised in Zimbabwe. He has lived and worked in Zambia for 15 years, with 12 of those years at Macha Research Trust where he has served as the Administrative Director (AD) from 2010 up to the present time. In his role as the AD, he gives oversight to Maintenance, Vehicles, Hospitality, Accounts, Human Resources, IT and building projects. Essentially it is his job to keep the institution running efficiently and effectively so the research projects can proceed unencumbered by breakdowns, and other inefficiencies. He also gives attention to long term planning and ensuring sustainability of the institution. Mr Book also serves as the Secretary for the Macha Research Trust Board of Directors.

Administrative Director Providing day to day supervision, guidance and direction to the departments under him including Maintenance, Vehicles, Grounds, Hospitality, Office Services, Human Resources, IT and Accounts.

• 1987– 2010 Paxton Ministries Harrisburg, PA USA

Executive Director Complete oversight of program that provides housing and services to 90 low income, emotionally and/or mentally challenged adults, supervision of 30-member staff and management of $1,800,000 budget. Responsible to 12-member interdenominational Board of Trustees.
